Access for cavers

This page is for cavers who are members of the French Speleological Federation or a federation in another country affiliated with the International Speleological Union

You can sign up for a guided tour or organise your own caving trip.

If you would like to sign up for a guided tour

Book your tour online or by telephone on +33 (0)5 59 28 34 02.
You will benefit from a reduced rate on presentation of your valid federation card.
Remember to bring your federation card with you!
If you do not present your card at reception, the standard rate will apply.

If you would like to organise a caving trip

(in the Saint-Vincent or Arphidia networks via the Verna tunnel)

It is free of charge, but you will not have access to the Verna lighting (unless your visit coincides with guided tours).
This access is reserved for federated and insured cavers.

Professional guides are not authorised to take their clients into the tunnel, as the public service delegation has appointed an exclusive delegate.

Two essential steps before your visit:

1/ Register with ARSIP

You must first register on the ARSIP schedule.
The Verna tourist operation does not handle these registrations.
Plan ahead with your request, as the responsiveness of ARSIP volunteers will depend on their availability.
ARSIP will provide you with instructions on how to use the track, park your vehicle and obtain the key to the tunnel.

2/ Coordinate with La Verna reception

You must contact the office on +33 (0)5 59 28 34 02 or in person at the reception desk in Arrakotchepia.
It is essential to coordinate your track usage times so as not to obstruct visitor shuttle traffic (the track is not wide enough to allow vehicles to pass each other).
